Description: Abel-AltopBands battleThe first annual Battle of the Bands markedthe Seniors first major fundraiser this year. This innovative money-maker, the brainchildof president David Aronoff, raised more than$250.For our first project we were pleased withthe turnout and profits, said Vice PresidentKari Kuh.Other fundraisers consisted of bake sales, garage sales, and the sale of class mugs andsenior T-shirt sales. Altogether, the Seniorclass produced over $1500, no minor featconsidering there was a defecit of $90 afterprom last year.We started off in the negative so $1800 isquite an accomplishment, treasurer DaveRay noted. The money that was raised was to havegone to a senior trip to Chicago, but an informal vote at a class meeting decided that asenior party would be better received. Theparty took place at Pickachick where a localband, The Black Eyed Peas, played as seniorsate hot-dogs and brownies.Jotham Burrello, secretary, said thatalthough there were not as many students aswe had planned on, it was really fun.I said I dont like Diet drinks!!!
