A highlight of the season was the winover cross-town rival Bloomington North.One of few reserve losses wasto the Warren Central Warriorsin a close game that pushed itsway through three overtimes. Alast second buzzer shot by theWarriors brought the game to anend.Coach Riggle cited outstanding play by Matt Cabot, TroyDeWar, Bill Bellessis, Eric Dees,Seth Berry and Chris Johns.In an effort to create moreplaying time, and thus createadditional team experience, thefreshman boy basketball Panthers were organized into an Aand B team. During the freshman season the A team set arecord of 9-6 while the B teamsplit even with 4-4. A highlightfor the B team was beating theBloomington North B squad by20 points, coming from behindfor the win.Coach Neal Ogle had praisefor the A team record becausethey were a physically smallteam. They worked hard anddealt with this well through theseason, the coach explained.The A team beat both Bedfordand Blomington North twice, ahighlight for any freshman season. Coach Ogle noted the fineplay of both teams in the manyclose games of the season.J.Wheres the coach? You take it!
