April 4th, theclass of 88 unveiled streamersand balloons and turned on themusic of Kilo. Juniors andseniors from South along withtheir dates donned their formalattire and braved the cold windto journey to the IndianaUniversity Memorial Union for anight of dancing and memories.Queen Amy Brummitt andking Craig Huse will rememberit, they were crowned on stageby last years queen and kingMissy Finley and Mike Nelson.Decorations were simple butkept the theme all around theroom, including the balconyabove the entrance and therefreshment area. Balloons tookthe place of flowers andstreamers took the place ofgreenery.All together, the decorationsgave the feeling of festivity witha modern twist. And twist is justa small part of the dancing thatwas going on. Kilo, a popularBloomington band, played top40 songs all evening including aballad played for the king andqueen.Down the hall and around theProm goers Suzi Hollenbackand Tom Smith dance amongballoons and streamers.20 Activitiescorner, in the I.U. MemorialUnion Commons following theprom, more music could beheard along with the clashing ofbowling pins. The post-promwas going on with plenty ofthings to do. There was moredancing with a disc jockey,billiards, and door prizes.Over 200 people attendedand most visited the snack barand talked with friends. Parentsponsor Kathy Fish said, Greatfun was had by all.
