The BoosterClub is not just a group ofparents, but rather a group ofvolunteers working towards acommon goal, said juniorclass representative Holly Mull.Fundraising is the most important function of the BoosterClub. The profits from ourfundraising activities are divided between athletic groups,Theatre South, and the choraldepartment, said Booster Clubsecretary Carol Nelson.Profits were also used for ascholarship fund awarded toone male and one female student judged to have characterof a high and outstanding quality, continued Nelson.Many of the moms and dadswho volunteered for the BoosterClub had teenage sons anddaughters in its high schoolcounterpart, the Varisty Club.Varsity team athletes andmarching band membersvolunteered in a multitude ofways. With the help of ournew sponsor, Rosemary Rehak,we performed a lot of usefultasks, commented VarsityClub president Christine Wattles. One week they were cleaning out dusty trophy cases and afew weeks later they were ringing Salvation Army bells forcharity at Christmas.This Hoosier finds endless apparelpossibilities at the gigantic sale.. . .
