Description: Homecoming andthe Hoosier DomeFootball and its frillsFootball fans cheered at thetradition of Homecoming andthe excitement of going to theHoosier Dome.As in years past a senior girl,Jill Habbe was chosen to wearthe crown of the HomecomingQueen. Other senior girls thatwere nominated for Homecoming Queen were Julie Car-michael, Robin Teague andMichelle Knight.For the first time, the Panthers had the opportunity toplay in the Hoosier Dome. Theyplayed against IndianapolisCathedral. South had thelargest, most vociferous crowdattending the game out of thefour schools competing on thesame night. Even with over2,000 loyal fans cheering theteam on, the Panthers lost toCathedral 13-7.Boys athletic director, JimMcMillan, helped coordinatethe plans and he has hopes ofrepeating the event next year.It was a great experience, hesaid.Confidently leading his team ontothe Hoosier Dome field is Coach DaveEnright.Making banners for Homecomingshows our school spirit. The junior classwon the banner contest.Raising cheers from the Hoosier Domecrowds was a big job for cheerleaders.They made a big pyramid to get the jobdone.14 Homecoming and the Hoosier Dome
