Carriers for the H-Tmake $1.80 out of the $6.10 collectedmonthly from each customer.A carrier can make $60-$ 100 for anaverage sized route, which normally takesless than an hour to complete each day.This makes for a good income with arelatively small amount of time spent, according to Bobby Jones, BloomingtonHigh School South junior and carrier foralmost two years.The most common reason for obtaininga route is for the money. Andy Brant-linger, freshman and carrier for threeyears, said, I needed the money.Anthony Amove, freshman and carrierfor three years, observed, As ateenager, the availability of jobs islimited. Andy Timperman, freshman andcarrier for six years, said, Its a good jobfor a reference.Jan Berzins, freshman and carrier forthree years, originally took the job for themoney but now sees other advantages.You get to know the people, accordingto Berzins.Amove explained, During the summerits all right.
