Description: Defensive dreamingLili DorsonTumbling with a gentle air current, a sweet girl fell into aworld with big white stars bobbing around. Bubbles, big andsmall, drifted about; and the girl popped all the ones shecould reach. The air was blue and the space undefinable.Innocent keys of a piano tingled and trickled throughout theplace. The telephone screamed in her ear so the girl got up fromthe sofa to answer it.Is Suzanne there? No, Im afraid not. May I take a message? No thanks. Bye.The girl dropped an egg, a few strawberries, orange juice, and milk into a blender. She poured the thick fruity drink intoa mug and drank it up. Soon she walked out the door, lifted aleg over a sparkling red ten-speed, and swept down thedriveway. She pedaled down the street and rode past agroup of people her age. They were leaning against cars andnot saying much. They didnt throw rocks at her, and theydidnt call her names, and they didnt even give her dirtyFogJay CurtsFogmoist, greymoves, quiets, softensflying very lowcloudNur Premolooks, but she knew they didnt like her. She didnt like themeither but only because she had to defend her pride. She went to the pool; and the group followed behind her, breathing down her neck and hovering together like a blackstorm cloud. She lay on her belly by the pool and moved to a hilly greenpark. She sat on the back of a giant horse, speeding down alarge hill with no one in sight. The horses mane featheredagainst her cheeks as she crouched low in a hug. The horseraced faster and faster against a fierce wind until his legscould run no faster, so up into the air he plunged. His silvertipped wings spread out, above the undulating grass andabove the park and above a few people dancing on rooftops.Into a blue bubbly space with bobbing stars and soft pianomelodies the girl and the horse floated. They flew over aswimming pool, and a spray of water sprinkled the girlshead. She rolled over on her towel and saw groups of peopleplaying games in the water.ootitic J {ot Ci^ioy<^m^ 1 *C?i JikvjfvHflf jnjicrfvccoffof} creamfoe /ce/ 0til$ far c%*/£>/&+*/ hwtftUtfi can qjzU he compare*, htf<v~X V)tfb j}iQt of* iolphi* ht%^hie/i vrcol**jL,1 miff juboc ihi/fair U/f h}ffafi*<AfWgfiftlaitv* fun ci*A fJa%f*ln*// ab»w/*fi*Q jCzfc* ib* marine avxt**l ml*til*/*&****~sp Vcxt ctiti i b*/crih ifT>jttf*ti iothtm^^ for* h*r,tacan cu^j2erfw)*cJT*i*wi^wuf fit//9***2 C0jtt<xm/, far nor,/*&$&}&Wktzifbtirakytdef.tiiKi 2a%f»illlof<r&fjr136 Creativity
