The 1665students of Bloomington South wereinvolved in many extracurricular activities.During the three months of summervacation, South students participated inalmost every imaginable activity. Someused this time to explore the world outside Bloomington. Others spent theirvacation at camps and institutes learningmore about special areas of interest.Three plays produced by TheatreSouth during the school year providedentertainment for students and the community. In the fall The Sunshine Soys wasperformed. / Remember Mama and themusical Anything Goes were produced inthe spring.For students interested in the businessworld, Souths four business clubs provided practical knowledge and on-ttraining.Students excelling in special areaswere honored by National Honor Society,Quill and Scroll, and Thespians. NHShonored scholars; Quill and Scrolored student journalists; and The^Hstudent dramatists.Some clubs were open to all stuj^HThe Fellowship of Christian Athledesigned to bring Christ into the li\its members. Future HomemakersofAmerica tries to help students grow asindividuals. Junior Achievementeconomic education program.Cheerleaders, as well as Port^Hand band members, helped raise t^Hits of both fans and teams at footb^Hbasketball games.
