As I walk, a feelingof great warmth comes over me. It feelswonderful to be bundled up when the windwhispers all around. The sky is a crystal clear image of eternity. Stars are glowing mellowly, reflectingtheir warmth and sincerity gently to theearth below. The light from the stars diffuses into the cool, crisp winter air, giving acozy sensation to the picturesque scene.I am able to think easily and clearly, as Imove through the quiet setting of houseswith cheery light escaping through theirwindows. The solitude wraps around melike a thick blanket, keeping me warm andsafe. The utter stillness is as smooth asglass, and I stand transfixed to avoid shattering the tranquil scene. As I go on walking down the street, I passa clump of pine trees swaying softly in thewind. The wind seems to be singing a bittersweet song of longing as it flows throughthe branches of the pines. I pause to listento the haunting melody; then I move on.Everywhere restless shadows reach outonto the street, as if they are trying to envelop me in longing embrace. Now that I amnearing a street lamp, the shadows recede, replaced by the cool white radiance of thelamp. This halo of light is one of the thingsthat I most enjoy on these walks, for it projects an image of consistency.Regrettably, I reach my house. As I walkup my driveway, I suddenly hear the chiming of bells from across town. The ringingsends me into a reverie, and I pause for onelast moment. Then a gust of wind mufflesthe sound, and the spell is broken.POPKIN, Carol; Potter, Daniel; Prince, Elizabeth; Prince, Jesse; Prince, Joe; Prince,Tammy; Pruitt, Paul; Pugh, Branwen.PUGH, Karen; Quinn, George; Ragsdale,Tamara; Raines, Teresa; Rainey, Michael;Ramahi, Jamil; Ramahi, Nida; Ratcliff, Regina.RAY, Brad; Reagan, Jane; Reeve, Brian;Reeves, Amy; Resch, Sandra; Reynolds,Terri; Rhodes, Feather; Rice, Glenda.RICE, Paula; Richardson, Eric; Richardson,Valerie; Rivers, Rowena; Roberts, J.
