Description: Simple fashion accessories wereadded to last years basics.Leather boots, the perfect footwearwith gauchos and dresses, were decorated with knit boot toppers. Leather andsuede clogs again gained popularity.Dresses, lengthened several inches,were falling below the knee. Softer colorsand textures were found in sweaters andfall attire.Lace and peasant styles, more feminine than in the past, were worn throughout the year. Layered cowl neck sweaterslengthened wear of summer fashions.Guys were wearing more sweaters,both bulky and lighter weights. Denimjeans were again this years stand-by,although dressier jeans became morepopular.Farrah Fawcett-Majors and DorothyHamills sweeping popularity drove manygirls to hair cutting salons.
