She teaches 4 years of painting and 4 years ofdrawing. To the schools dismay, this year will be her final year beforeretiring. When asked what she would miss the most, she respondedwithout hesitation. The kids-thats not hard at all. Ive always loved the kids and thisschool. She explained her reason for retiring. Im too tired, she laughed. After all these years Ive gotten up at 5:30.After leaving, she plans to move to Colorado to focus on her ownpainting and be closer to family. I guess its bittersweet. Ive always loved[teaching here]. Ive given my life to this school, but I really need to dosome stuff for myself now.Although we are sad to see her go, she gave a final message to herstudents: Never quit.«««*5sesceramics and stained glasskceramics and stained glassONE - Untitled, Briana Miller,9.
