I reallybelieve that our faculty and staff is really focused on kids andI really believe we have pretty awesome kids.However, Andersons time at North has reached its end.After 37 years, she is ready to retire.While it will be very difficult for her to leave her home,she has great hopes for the next generation.I think the media gives kids a bad rep and things getpublished because theyre newsworthy, she said. Highschools have some really cool people.Anderson feels that she has been very fortunate to havehad the opportunity to spend her career here, because noteveryone gets to have such a fulfilling career.Ive never thought of this as a job [...] anyone workingwith kids has to have a passion, she said.In her retirement, she plans to wake up every morningand decide right then and there what she will be doing thatLaurie TrinkleHeather TurnerCourtney VencelMolly WilliamsBrett WilliamsonTravis WrayTiffanie WrightRonald YearbyKristina YohoHer actual plans include spending more time with hertwo sons, two brothers, and other family and friends. She isin the process of planning a trip to Europe with her brothers,as she has never been before and is interested in exploring herheritage.During her time here, Anderson has worked closely withthe Special Education department. She has enjoyed workingdirectly with students and has a very positive outlook on theschool environment.Anderson was also a prominent figure in the transitionout of segregated schools. She worked on givingpresentations both nationally and internationally because shefirmly believed this was a very important and necessarytransition to make.Staff |
