Description: Spreading the Love Through SomOn February 14th at North, its not unlikely for one tohear singing coming from classrooms all around theschool. Every Valentines Day, as students attendtheir regular scheduled classes, they are graced once,twice, or maybe even three times by voices deliveringthe very popular, Singing Valentines.Singing Valentines are exactly what they soundlike: a message ordered and delivered by song to afriend, teacher, boyfriend, or girlfriend. NorthsChamber Choir is responsible for delivering thesemessages throughout the day. Students can ordersongs for their friends such as Love on the Brain,No Diggity, Just a Friend, and many otheroptions which are delivered by the choir aroundschool on February 14.Doing singing valentines was really funbecause we got to spend the day going into differentclasses and making people smile, said sophomoreCatherine Barker.Iby Mary Kate Doyon and Maddie GrafSophomores Isa Balle-Voyles, Eleanor Lloyd, and Melina Raglinserenade a student on Valentines Day with the song, Just aFriend.Orchestra students host a fundraiser the week of ValentinesDay by selling 6-inch cookies. The cookies can have up tothree words of the buyers choice, and are picked up byrecipiants after school on February 14.Choir students serenade a student at lunch on Valentines Daywith a Meghan Trainor mash-up, including popular songs suchas No and Me Too.
