Theatre is a new way toexpress yourself. I really love thecrowd of people, theyre really open,and its easy to be yourself aroundthem, Balle-Voyles said. TWOPerforming her role, junior GaiaHendrix-Petry mesmerizes the crowd.My favorite part of performing iswhen you walk onto the stage for ashow the first time and you feel thestage lights on your face, Hendrix-Petry said. THREE Playing her role,junior Emma Cannon expresses hercharacters emotions. Getting todevelop a character that people canconnect with and getting a messageacross is something powerful,,Cannon said. FOUR Looking off intothe distance, senior Felix Merbackperfects his role. I like the small stuffabout performing. You can get intothe technicals about what to do withyour body but its really aboutportraying someone elses body,Merback said. FIVE Embracing anothercharacter, junior Sarah Sackmannbecomes her role. The hardest part inperforming is memorizing lines andgetting the timing down, Sackmannsaid. SIX Performing his role, juniorCole Swany entertains the crowd.
