I like track because ithelps me get ready for basketball season, Laffoon said.Three. Sprinting, junior Gerrit Heitink performs in the 100 meter dash.Heitink also performed in the 4 byl 00 this year. My most memorablemoment was the Twilight meet. I had previously gotten back from astrained hamstring and it was only my second time running in the 100meter trials. I lost awfully and even my coach knew it was a bad race.was scared to re-injure myself, so after that I hung out for a bit thengot warmed up for the 4 by 100, I was the lead off leg of the race andwas still timid. As we were walking to our blocks, I got mine set upand ran out of them once, and that when something clicked inside me.wasnt scared to re-injure myself and ran the best 4 byl 00 Ive ran inwhile. It was a blessing, Heitink said.Four. Running, senior Griffin Tichenor competes in the 4 by 800 relay.Tichenor was a distance runner. Winning the conferencechampionships in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run was themost memorable moment of this season, Tichenor said.\m
