Doeseveryone have what they need? Are the coaches set?Are the players ready? Manager Sarah Goldman hasB. Looking around I see my family,every player has impacted my life. Managing thefootball team is what I chose to do and its worth it.Goldmans efforts dont stop there.Goldman also helps adopt-a-family, Thanksgivingfood drive and powder puff football all through peermediation. Goldman has managed the football teamfor the past three years, going on the fourth year thisupcoming season, Football to me is my life.Goldman said. I would go crazy without itGol|manhas formed a strong bond between herself and theplayers which she describes as to be like a family.What keeps her going? Her best friend Maria Castillo. Castillo is a junior at New Tech High School, who got into a car crash in2008 and was left handicapped.After my car accident Castillo said; She was one of my only friends who didnt see me differently.Goldman describes their friendship as Its not a normal friendship, we are more like sisters. After her accident we becamevery close. We do everything together. 3& MSarah and I have been friends since the first grade. Castillo said about their friendship. Sarah does wrestlerettes with meat New Tech when she doesnt even go to that school. Goldman goes to new tech after school to help Castillo. Wrestlerettes isalmost the same as managing the team but we wash towels, sliglets and warm ups. We video tape matches, keep score, and Goldman said. Wrestlerettes is only one of the many things she does to help her friends and thecommunity.Goldman is dedicated to being friends with Castillo and helping her for the rest of her life. I want to find an apartment withMaria. Goldman said when talking about her future. I want to become a Physical Education teacher and coach football if Ican. Goldman has plans for her future to continue helping people throughout her iife. Everyday she makes an effort to think ofnew ways to help her friends and family, Castillo said.
