Description: PRESIDENT: NANCY BARGEVICE PRESIDENT: LISA DAERRSECRETARY: MARLA MANNTREASURER: JANE BRENNANJuniors Find Hard Work to BeEnjoyable, Educational, Profitable.As another school year rolled around, the 1976-77 junior class became a very spirited and hardworking class. To get into the Spirit of 76 thejuniors held a carwash, 76<£ per car, during theFourth of July celebrations. Even with wet clothes,soapy hair, scratches and bruises, and a trip to theemergency room for one junior, the first project ofthe junior class was a profitable one, making $105to start off prom funds.The annual Junior-Senior Powderpuff Game wasanother big success. The junior girls broke tworecords in one night. They cleared over $1200,the most made by any powderpuff game, and got a16-0 victory over the seniors, the first ever inNorths history.This year A Touch of Magic was the decidedtheme for the Junior-Senior Prom, and with everyone hard at work it should be a very successfulprom.Besides raising money, many juniors started preparing themselves early for college and after graduation plans. Many took the PSATs in the fall andeveryone took part in the Phase Elective Englishand Social Studies courses.Headed by Mr. Jim Peak, the Junior class sponsors consist of Mr. Roger Gunkle, Mr. Paul Hartle,Mr. John Henry, Mr. George Luginbill, Miss BettyMercer, Mr. John Portle, Mrs. Denise Smith, Mr.Jim VanOsdol, Mrs. Vickie Waldron, Mr. KeithClark, and the Science Department offers anyassistance that would make junior class activitiesrun smoother.140
