Description: 1.My favorite part of diving is how close weall are because we are so small. Right before adive I try to clear my mind of everything that woulddistract me. During the dive I dont think aboutanything and usually dont remember anything. After I finish a dive I think how could it be fixed nexttime, or what could I do better,-Beth Maben, 105.Diving is an endless struggle for personalimprovement. My favorite part of the sport islearning a new dive, or popping up out of the waterto see the judges holding up good scores. Ivemade some great progress so far this season andhope to finish strong at sectionals. During meets,I dont really think about anything. Practice is thetime to focus on details, so that when its time tocompete I can relax and rely on muscle memory.6.The 500 is always tough because it is long, but having a person who counts and cheersfor you always keeps me going.-oLytk Elmer, 11I often swim the 500, but this meet it was really fun to cheer and count for my good friend and-dLee Missel, 117• When I swim fly I feel strong and proud. It makes me fee! like I am taller than I am really am.When I drop time on fly it makes me really happy and I know I can do anything.-Delisa Portland, 10
