kSW-f^mI£m^%> 17/337Photo by Kasey Edie —•*——#1Since freshman year back home in Michigan, Color Guard has always been an outlet during my high school career. When I transferred from Michigan to North, its fair to say I was severely depressed. But the band program and my Color Guard family welcomed me with open arms and have given me lessons and memories thathave shaped me as the person I am today! Without this band, and the guard, its strange to say, I might have gone insane! This is really stupid but this one time, atband camp, I found myself, and I will always love every last me member!-Sera RMovioh, IXs.The If You Can-Can-Can show was very energetic and was very emotionally connecting for all of the band and guard members.-4uqe ihrbark, 113Semi-state was when our unification and fierceness had peaked. Waiting for our name to be called, were freezing our butts off in the bleachers and huddledtogether. When our name was called we all jumped to our feet, screaming. The hell and heat of band camp and every other practice finally paid off for that one moment.-Emily Meyer, IXi.(The best thing about Color Guard is) the thrill. When you first step out on the field you get this rush. Its like becoming a new person. The person you arefor the show comes out and takes control. Then for the next five, seven or maybe even 11 minutes, youre someone youre normally not.--nVidie -Head, 115.Playing at Lucas Oil Stadium was lots of fun. Performing on a pro football field is one of those things that most people never experience, let alone high schoolstudents. When youre down there on the field, everything around you feels huge. Between the adrenaline rush I got when I walked onto the field, the sheer size ofthe stadium, and the cheering crowd, it was certainly an experience I will never forget.-David Kurkst, 11I |
