Description: 1MBDew DropStudenis-frsiresburaniI took culinary arts to get the experience of cooking different thingsthat I havent heard of. Hoosier Hills culinary program is so much funevery Thursday starting in November through March of next year.Dew Drop Inn is our little restaurant that costs six dollars for students, teachers, etc. Each Thursday we pick different themes; Mexican, Italian,home-style meals and grill out. The Dew Drop runs through all luncheswhich is 11 a.m. to 1:19 p.m. Students in the program prepare the mealitems before Thursday. Also, the culinary program helps feed the Cougarfootball team; we make eight meals for them and we get good commentsback, which we appreciate. I like the program because this is the fieldI want to go into for college, baking and pastry arts. If you like cooking then this is what you should take. Its 50 percent cooking and 50percent paperwork, which isnt so complicated. I have been in culinaryarts for two years and I really enjoy it.-Laura Pitts, til*The skills you learn in this class can set you up for the real world. Once Im out of highschool I want to go to chef school and get agood job as an Executive Chef. Cooking food is my life.
