Theyve known each othersince the beginning of Ousleys sophomoreyear.Hes so different from everybody else,Ousley said._ And when you listen to his|_music, you want to reflect on your own life,Padron started when he was young and isstill going with his music.I started writing when I was 13, when I wasin summer school, Padron said. Some of mySouth friends were doing this song and theyasked me to rap, but I didnt know if I wasgood or not, but when I rapped, all my friendssaid that I was good.Padron started recording when he was 15.He has tried a variety of ways to record hismusic, and finally he has now gotten hisrecording process down.I started putting up my music up onMySpace, Padron said. I would record on myMP3 player that had a mic, after that I wouldstart recording on a headset. Now he currendy is using a microphonethat his mother bought him, and recordingmusic from his room. There was a time where I couldverecorded with some of my friends, but theirstyle of rap wasnt for me, Padron said. Theywould rap about drugs and other stuff likethat. Thats why people dunk of rap negatively.Because theres rappers that will rap abouttaking someones life and guns, and whenthey get fingers pointed at them, they ask why.If youre not writing a song about something, dont rap, Padron said. When he writes his music, he sticks to hisroots.
