Ison was the only female on the team to participateexclusively in throwing events, competing in both discus and shot put.Ison also participated in student publications.2 During the home softball game against South, sophomore KadeeAxsom hits her first double of the season to right field. Axsom attended South her freshman year prior to transferring and joining thesoftball team. (The game) was memorable because it was my oldteam, and I hit off them, Axsom said.3 In his first year of pole vaulting, freshman Camden Beard competes in Sectionals. Getting the form down can be difficult, but Beardworks to get better during practice. His inspiration comes from hiscoach, Justin Dunbar, who pole vaulted for IU.
