Description:	t school, students participate in various clubs and extracurricular groups thatallow them to develop and expand upon their leadership skills. Groups suchLas Student Council, Cougar Leaders and National Honor Society give studentsthe opportunity to guide their peers, both younger and older, and become positive rolemodels in both their school and in their community. Sophomore Lacie Im, who is the sophomore class Vice President, said that being an active leader in the school community hascaused her to become more responsible and outgoing because you wont be any helpif youre only involved with yourself. Ims statement about leadership exemplifies thequalities shown by student leaders. Below, a few other leaders share their views.I To be a Cougar Leader you just have to be ableto lead people younger than you, but CougarLeader Council requires the ability to lead people your age or even older. Sometimes juniorshave to tell seniors what to do. But in generala good leader just has a lot of enthusiasm andknows how to make everything fun.-Annie Philippsen, seniorI think being a good leader involves the will tomake others better.
