Description: Taking the StageAuditions for the spring musical started in Jan. of2009, and the cast worked around the clock at rehearsals nearly every day. Working with an intenseschedule, however, is nothing new for senior EthanPhilbeck, who played Vernon Hines in the springmusical The Pajama Game.Working on The Pajama Game brought about manyhighs and lows for Philbeck. My best memory was probably having my pantsfall down in front of an entire audience while modeling pajamas, Philbeck said. However, during one performance, Philbeck forgot the words to my song, and on a solo part. Iended up singing the words blah, blah, blah for awhile before I could remember them again.Philbeck has been in many other school productions including My Fair Lady, Dust, How to Succeedin Business without Really Trying, and The Apollo ofBellac. He is also working with the Advanced TheaterClass Production on American Blues, a collection ofone-act plays written by the American playwrightTennessee Williams.Philbeck considers his most outstanding role to behis part in The Laramie Project.I think getting to play Dennis Shephard my junioryear was my big break, Philbeck said.
