Wilson has been involvedin musical theater since elementaryschool, performing in his first out-of-school production in sixth grade asGaston, the villain of Beauty and theBeast. Because Wilson prefers singing to acting, he looked forward tosinging five full songs in the springmusical. His favorite song to performwas Rip the Chipmunk, a collaboration with junior Nathan Pratt. Gettingto do that with (Pratt) was so muchfun, Wilson said. (The scene) waskind of our own creation. Pratts firstmajor musical performance was alsoin sixth grade, when he landed a smarole in Norths musical Pippin. Eventhough Pratt didnt have the electivespace for choir or theatre this year, heearned the musicals lead role, J. Pierrepont Finch. Like Wilson, Pratt preferssinging over acting and rarely gets nervous doing it. I could sing the wholetime (while on stage), Pratt said.Musical Secretaries!
