mm^msPeers play rockWhen juniors Tommy Whiteman and IanOttinger started a band at Tri-North, littledid they know their band, Vinyl, wouldbecome locally popular with their ownNorth Students Recording Demo CDS recording studio and a demo CD.When the boys entered high school theythought it was time to start recording.Our dads helped make our recording studio, Whiteman said.The studio, located in his garage, contains equipment such as microphones and a mixing board.It took three weeks to get (the songs) perfect, but during our next performance at Rhinos, we soldout of CDs, Whiteman said.Also, last year, during Battle of the Bands hosted by Rhinos, Vinvl won the popular vote.Our master copy is finished so these CDs are the originals, Whiteman said. Vinyl continues towrite music with bassist junior Miles Halstead in hopes of recording more soon. , j .
