Description: |
UncommonStory by Leeanna CraigIts a common thought among Bloomington North students that time spent in school takes away from their sociallife. Students are spending over 1,170 hours attending to their studies and over 360 hours practicing sports andother extracurricular activities. During the school year, its common to see students enjoying and spending timefiguring out what the finer things in life are all about. Some students use the time they are not in school by going to their fellow classmates games and supporting theirNorth friends, while other students hangout and get involved with their friends. Students also spend an unbelievableamount of time on their homework. Some students also seek for help from tutors and their fellow peers which can takeup alot of extra time that students could use for other activities or social events. Some students work on homeworkanywhere from three to four hours a night, leaving them with less free time during the week. Its common for many high school students to have the privilege of providing their own ride from place to placeinstead of depending on their parents or older siblings. This makes hanging out a lot easier and alot more commonduring the school year. Hanging out with friends, competing in different sports, making good grades and completingfour years of school is usually what most students at North have on their mind. Most of the students find it to befrustrating to be a teenager and be in high school at the same time, but when they get the chance to look back they willremember the great times they had. To me student life means the life of me and my peers. The things we deal with everyday and what we learnfrom everday experiences. -Sophomore, Kayla MannIt means chillin with good fellas. - Junior, Keith WilsonStudent Life 5 |
