For the freshmen, the year started at Cougar Encounter. The freshmen playedgames, got their pictures taken and received their schedules. But most importantly, theygot a chance to figure their way around North. The first few days are tough, but the classnow understands the ways of high school. Many of the kids are also liking high school.(High school) is really fun and allows so many more opportunities than middle school did,Carly Fulton said. For some students, high school is harder than middle school, but forothers it is easier. There is a whole lot less homework, Jessica Spore said. I likehaving lots of people to make friends with. Other students are having problems with theirfreshmen year. (Freshmen boys> dont get any girls, Austin Serbin said. But Serbin willsoon learn that there is more to high school than just girls.
