BernsteinThe Bloomington North Cougar Band had a fantastic year culminated by their first appearance in theMacys Thanksgiving Day Parade. They were one of 12 bands accepted (out of 300 applicants) and represented our school and community in 1st class fashion. Highlights of the 6-day trip included Broadway musicals,Times Square, The Village Vanguard Jazz Club, Museums, NBC Studiios, Central Park, a Harbor Cruise,Ground Zero, the Empire State building, and of course marching down Broadway.Their fall show entitled Bernstein earned them several caption awards and a Division I rating at ISSMARegionals, just narrowly missing state qualifications.
