Description: Cougar CookoutOn May 11, 2004, Mr. Pillars Culture of American Sports class promoted a cookout to getstudents more involved with the sports at North. North students were told to wear maroon orgold shirts if they wanted to get free food and free admission. The cookout was a great success. About 300 students, student athletes, and their families came and enjoyed the 300 hotdogs, chips, and all the drinks they wanted. Thanks to the great griller, Dave Pillar! This is Mr.Pillars first year teaching the class, and says that they are achieving a lot of things academically and hopes that the cookout will become a tradtion for the class and school, because itwas a success and everyone had a great time.Sabrina Gilg and Chanelle Martincome down from track practice toenjoy the cookout.Yael Eban, Parisha Patel, and Kari Kinkead look realrelaxed while sitting inbetween the baseball field andtennis courts, supporting our student athletes!I wonder if Zoe Odea knew she would becooking hotdogs when signing up for Mr.Pillars Culture of American Sports class?Davey Marshall raises his arms in excitement after he throws a ball during the baseball contest.
