Description:	Girls Track and FieldBloomington North had a stellar season in girls track and field. The ladiesfinished their regular season undefeated, continuing their winning streak untilthe state finals. The teamsaccomplishments were a direct result ofevery individual working towards the goalsthey set: winning conference, sectionals,and regionals.Many records were set this year.Senior Chara Lane set the school recordin the 100 hurdles in 14.76 seconds.Brittany Ross, Lydia Serfling, Bryn Hannonand Chara Lane, ran away with the 4x 100meter relay record with a 49.74. VerityJohnson finished with a 10 9 jump in polevault, setting a record in a sport new togirlstrack and field.Sixteen girls and all three relayteams made it to the state meet this year.Bloomington North was represented in 13out of 16 events at the state meet. Four of these girls placed in the top 9. LaraLubbe finished 7th in the discus and Chara Lane also placed 7th in the 100hurdles. Brittany Ross finished 7th in the 200 and Verity Johnson finished 2ndin the pole vault.With such a great team it was difficult to pick one most valuable player.Two Gold Awards were given out to Chara Lane and Lara Lubbe.Aboverace.Bryn Hannon gets a good start to herAbove: Chara Lane concentrates on clearinganother hurdle.
