Description: __.BHSNs baseball season started very well asthe Cougars won five oftheir first seven games.Soon after, they lost twokey starters. Senior shortstop and pitcher DavidPatrick, was out with mononucleosis, and seniorcenterfielder and lead offhitter Bryan Peters wasout with an injured lowerback. That left North witha very young team, playing at times up to foursophomores. Inexperience cost the Cougars afew close games as theirseason ended with a record of 12 and 17.Offensively the Cougars were led by seniorutility player Ian Greenand outfielder WillIiya/ues <WindeJi GougansStockwell. Stockwellwas the winner of boththe Marroon and Goldawards. On the mound,North was lead by juniorEvan Ruach, who turnedin many strong outingsfor Coach Richard Hurt.The future looks brightfor Cougar baseball asreturning sophomorestarters Jon Bloom, ValNolan, and AaronMobley, along with Juniors Evan Ruach, GeoffIndersby, Scott Jackson,Sean Sullivan, and BoWatkins provided solidexperience and leadership for the Cougars inthe season to come.The ritual team huddle afterevery inning.<g>The Stockwell Steamer.Reflections ofJunior Varsity Team, Row 1: J.
