English Dept Sees Changeswo significant changes occurred in the English1 department this year. The first change was physical. The second was a curriculum addition.The physical change was the laying of new carpetthroughout the entire English department. This was amuch needed and very appreciated change for boththe students and the staff.The change in curriculum in Indiana Folkloreproved that English can be fun. For students whowere enrolled in Indiana Folklore, taught by Dr. Barbara Grady, a new program was explored. It wascalled campfire. Campfire was a time when all wasdark with candles burning dimly. The smell of incensefilled the room. The class gathered around thecampfire to tell ghost stories each Friday. Towardthe end of the semester a book was put together foreach student enrolled in the class.
