The bandplaced at all of the six invita-tionals in which it competed pluswent on to earn a Division I Rating in Class A at ISSMA and performed in the ISSMA Regionalsfor the first time since 1987. Thetheme for this years show wasHew York and music includeda drum corps original entitledHew York Fantasy, the jazzstandard Harlem Hocturne,two selections from The WIZ,and even a Hew York Traffic JamIThis years success can be partially attributed to strong studentleadership as section leaders in-Heather and Megan look asif they are enjoying themselves.The guys prepare for a victory!eluded: Amy Berg, Grace Almond, Steve Frazo, Lisa Gilchrist, Stefanie Brashear, KeithGrush, Vicky Elzey, RyanProvines, Jake Mechling, MicahMcClain, and Chris Hiatt. Guardcaptains were Hilary Wilson andAngie Martin and Drum Majorswere David Appleman, Beth Hailer, and Cody Qaither.The highlight was an overnighttrip to Morehead State Universitywhere the band scored thehighest in its class (16 otherbands) and received SuperiorRatings from all six judges.
