Another Impressive Seasonhis season markedthe most successful of nine forcoach SandySearcy. This year the Cougarswere undefeated in dualmeets. The Cougars also wonthe Bedford Invitational, theNew Albany Invitational,South Central Conference,and hope to win Sectionals.The Cougars felt that Conference was the most important win this year. WinningConference for the first timein the history of North, takingit away from ColumbusNorths reign of 11 years, wasa pretty big morale booster forSectionals. North won 5 outof 12 events, missing the 200Medley relay record by .6 of asecond.Sectionals looks very promising for the Cougars. Theyhope to win and send asmany individuals to State aspossible, including people inthe 200 relay, 400 free, 200free, 100 fly, 200 I.M. and 100breast.Coach Sandy Searcy regards this season a very successful one and hopes nextyear will be even better.Quincy Stewart comes up for abreath.Coach Searcy is all wet after the Conference win.Cougar swimmers seem to have taken the lead early.74A Closer Look At Boys Swimming |
