North Holds Post Prom For First TimeThe Post Prom, held forthe first time at Bloomington North, took place onSaturday, May 20. Somestudents were hesitantabout going to a Post Promat the school, thinking itwould be boring. As itturned out, the Post Promwas full of fun and excitement.There were various activities to do, starting withgambling. The different tables were set up in thecommons. One could playblackjack, craps or roulette. The other activitiesconsisted of a one-holeputt-putt strip which wasalso in the commons, movies which were shown inthe auditorium, and volleyball and basketball in thegym. Z-201 (formerly Sunday Fix) played in the cafeteria.As evening becamemorning, there was an auction where everything froma free dinner to moneyprizes up to $50 were given away.For the students therewas free pizza, bread sticksand Coke, all of which wassupplied by the Pizzaria.The parents work hard tokeep everyone contentwith food. They were alsoin on the decorating theschool. Students enteredthe cafeteria through ahuge steamboat which wasmade out of cardboard andwood with a boardwalkthat went around it. Themost interesting thingabout the steamboat wasthat the wheel actually rotated.A good time was had byall, including the manyparents who helped.
