Description: The Cougar wrestlers, brilliantly coached by BoHenry, lost two of their first three meets, but came backto win the next seven in a row. Unfortunately they lostthe seasons last meet to city rival B.H.S. South. Cougars met tough competition in their own invitational andthe Culver Invitational Tournament encountering suchteams as Warsaw, Haslet, and Jennings County. Eachof these teams was well represented in the State Finals.The Cougars sent only one grappler on to State, RickJoyce.The Cougar wrestlers had high hopes for the Sectional and Regional crowns, but met obstacles beyondtheir control. They placed second in each.Lineups varied at the start of the season but becamemore stable as the season came to a close. Many youngfaces appeared on the team from time to time as CoachHenry attempted to bring his team to their strong point.The Cougar reserve wrestlers had a very successfulseason winning seven of their nine meets. They got a lotof worthy experience this year and are more than readyto move up to the Varsity squad.Talent Leads Wrestlers to an 8-3 SeasonPage 56:1.
