Description:	Orchestra Has Busy YearUnder the direction of Jane Gouker,Norths orchestra has been very busy.Early in the year the orchestra held adance, playing waltzes as well as othertypes of music.The orchestra also played with theBloomington Symphony and performedin a concert combining area schools fromelementary to high school level. Stilllater, the orchestra held its second annualHee Hall Show. Western music wasplayed and skits were performed, including the well-known cornfieldscene.More recently the orchestra participated in the State Solo and Ensemblecontest, where they did quite well.Among those winning awards were RyanCoulter (first), Sara Engber (second), andShane McCann (second). The StringQuartet, made up of Emily Young, SaraEngber, Cheryl Angotti, Alison Nicoll,received a first place in the most difficultgroup division.In May, the orchestra, along with theadvanced jazz band and the symphonicband, took a trip to Chicago.
