Along the way the Cougarstook their sixth sectional title inseven years by defeating BrownCounty in the championship game.North was led throughout theircampaign by the leadership andtalent of their senior players. All yearthey were counted on in the clutchand all year they came through. Thesenior players were Joe Wright, Randy Gharst, Joe Hoagland, Jeff Isomand Dave Lovell.As well as winning the sectional,North also went on to the finals inConference, placed second inregionals and beat the state runner-up during the regular season.Some players who figure to be inthe picture next year will be juniorsPhil Lockhart, Eric Fisher, DeanBushey, John Fitzgerald, and BradCofield, and sophomores KyleSmith, Don Bowman and KenGilbertson.94
