Senior Renee Jacquardbroke her old vault record of 9.05 toset a new school record of 9.15 atthe same meet. With this experiencebehind them, the Cougars went intothe South Central Conference meetdetermined to retain their title.North succeeded in winning theteam crown as well as having twoindividual champions, senior MarionEakin who won the uneven bars,and Sophomore Angela Bizzari whowon the vault. Renee Jacquard placed on every event to take therunner-up title in the all-around.All of this success has not goneunnoticed as the team was ranked inthe Coaches Poll of the top 20teams throughout the season. Muchof this is due to the strong Intermediate Compulsory programwhich has had state medalists forthe past five years. This years teamis no exception. The Intermediateteam also had a perfect record of 7-0 and had many strong individualperformances. During the state tournament series, these girls must progress on their own merit since thereis no team title on this level.4. Sophomore Angela Bizzari leaps on thebeam at the S.C.C meet.5.
