Description: Yearbook Staff Produces 83 Nikean<<117e have to meet theW deadline! This was acommon phrase heard fromthe 1982-83 Nikean yearbook staff members. Toproduce the yearbookeveryone must do his job,when theyre told, and haveit done on time. Just to produce two pages it can takemany people. First someone to take the pictures,then someone to design thelayout, someone to writefor the layout, and finallysomeone to proofread tomake sure everything wasdone correctly.The year begins by selling ads. Everyone in theclass is required to try tosell ads. By selling ads theprice of the book can belower. Mainly people workon activities that are goingon at a certain time. For example, when basketballseason is over, a layout willbe done. This kind of activity continues throughout thewhole year. Everyone isalways kept busy, includingthe teacher.The sponsor for theNikean staff is Roger Pfingston. He spends a lot oftime working with everystudent, helping them tobetter understand whattheyre doing. DanaMackey, senior, is the editorfor the book this year. Shealso spends a lot of timeworking with students. KimWeld is the assistant editor.Students from the class areeditors of the varioussections.The yearbook staff hasput in a hard working year,to do the best job possible.Thanks to these people, it ispossible for a Northgraduate to get out his yearbook twenty years fromnow and remember thewonderful high schoolyears.
