Description: T»Girls Run Successful YearThe Girls Cross Countryteam was very successfulthis year. At the beginningof the season Coach RalphSieboldt and his team setfour goals: One to beundefeated; two, to becomeSectional champs; three, toGirls Cross Country runners sticktogether.become Regional champs,and four, to place in the topthree in state.Goal one wasaccomplished when theyfinished the season 7-0 indual meets. IndividualsStephanie Bassett and LisaLahr won all dual meets.The team also placedsecond in all invitationalswhich had up to 26 teamsin each invitational.The second goal cametrue when the team wonSectionals. Lisa Lahr,Stephanie Bassett, LeslieParker, Kim Harding,Eileen Muldoon, SheriLeonard, Jenifer Ruesink,and Jill Clay were all theState runners.The third goal wasattained by winningRegionals with Lisa Lahrfinishing first aboveeveryone.Their final goal was notachieved, but they werehappy with fifth place,considering all the injuriesthroughout the season. Thereturning girls say Theythink they will do betternext year.Mr. Sieboldt says He islooking forward to nextyears season because hefeels we have the top fourstate meet runners back,plus Jenifer Jonloz, MaryBurns, Leslie Parker, KimHarding, and ValorieLord.The Maroon award wentto Stephanie Bassett forMental Attitude, and LisaLahr received the Goldaward for most valuableteam member.IiCross Country Row 1: L.
