Practiceafter school and spirit daysthroughout the week madeit fun for everyone.Everything could be seenfrom Toga-ers to PunkRockers.Finally Sept. 24 arrived.At 6:00 in the morningpowder-puffers were off toSambos or Big Wheel forbreakfast, then to the radiostation for advertisement,shortly arriving at school.Juniors and Seniorschanted and cheeredthrough the day. Evenduring class you could heara low rumble that soundedlike kill, kill, kill, kill.The powder puff gameconsisted of four nineminute quarters. TheSeniors began the gameafter scoring in thebeginning of the firstSeniors chant in front of theradio station before air time.quarter by a passing play toKathy Smith who ran 80yards for the touchdown. Itwas after this that they fell.Neither team had thestrategy to score again inthe first half. Yet theJuniors came back in thethird and fourth quarters,scoring two touchdowns towin the game.This was only the secondvictory for juniors inNorths history, making it avictorious win. Senior AmyHewitt says, The finalresult was depressingbecause last year we cameso close to ripping theseniors, and this year, ouryear, we were beaten by asimple touchdown.Though defeated, Seniorscommended the Juniors fortheir greataccomplishments.Powder Puff once againreached the high goal forfundraising. All proceedswould go towards the 82spring prom. |
