Bloomington Norths theaterdepartment has been trying something new, performing their productions in the round. That is, having the audience seated on stage,surrounding the actors. They triedit last year with a few productionsand again this year with TomSwift and His ... and FeiffersPeople.The summer theater studentsperformed Tom Swift and His.... The play is mainly about thefall of the industrial revolution. Thegroup consists of North alumni,and were the first to perform theaward winning play besides a Chicago theater group.Then in November, North students presented Fieffers People. The play is a social satire ofpeople lives. Hugh Hanna, senior,John Barge, junior, and Ron Terrell, senior, were some of the mainactors.In the play All the Way Home,junior Mark White portrays ayoung married man with a six-year-old son, freshman BruceLindman. The main focus is howhis wife, Martha Wampler, junior,and the rest of the family deal withthe death of the head of the household.Along with the actors in theplays there are many other students involved with the productionof plays. For instance there are thepublicity, lighting, sound, makeup, scene, and set crews.The director of all Norths productions is Nancy Coach Leon-chik.
