This course wasdesigned to teach boys interested in working onlawn mower and garden tractor engines how torepair and assemble them.The welding and machine shop courses were combined to give students adequate time and experiencein both types of work.Two printing courses, graphic arts 1 and 2 andvocational printing 1 and 2, offered interesting projects involving work with machine composition, letter press, offset, silk screen printing, process camera,paste-up, and bindery. Students in these classes wereresponsible for the printing of our newspaper, theOptimist.59
