Included in this was an eleven game winning streakwhich was broken by Greensburg in the SCC tournament.The 1966 Panther varsity squad selected JimmyCooper as its honorary captain due to his contributions to the teams success and the leadershipqualities he exhibited. Cooper was additionally honored by being presented the B-Man award forbaseball this past spring. Southpaw Jim Inman ledthe pitching staff with a 9-1 record while allowingjust a fraction over one earned run per game.Although Coach Groh had lost ten veteran varsity players via graduation he had five returninglettermen around which to mold his varsity teamthis spring.112
