Description: Extra Time SpentIn Community ProjectsInteract is a service organization, composed ofhigh school boys who possess the qualities of leadership and the willingness to do services for others.Sponsored by the Bloomington Rotary Club, theclub strives to promote greater world understanding.Its world service project for the past year wassupporting an orphan in Korea. They also performed various services for the local community,such as cleaning up the fairgrounds after the countyfair and sitting in the Dunk-the-Man booth at theFun Frolic.The Junior Heart Board of Monroe County is abranch of the National Heart Fund Association.Raising money for the Heart Fund through suchprojects as Tag Day, dances, car washes, andHeart Fund Day is the primary goal of JuniorHeart Board. Volunteers from all county highschools are encouraged to participate.Junior Achievement gives high school studentsa chance to gain experience for a future in the business world. The members set up their own companies by electing officers and selling shares of stock.Then their main problem is the process of selecting,manufacturing, and selling a product. The companies publish profit and loss statements at the endof the year and declare dividends for the the stockholders just as any corporation would.PLANS FOR UPCOMING COMMUNITY PROJECTS areformulated during an Interact business meeting.JUNIOR HEART BOARD ...
