Three Dances Fill Students CalendarSomewhere, the 1966 All-School Dance, sponsored by the Student Council, was held in the SarkesTarzian cafeteria on April 23. The theme was basedon the song from the musical West Side Story,and the decorations typified the setting of themusical, the back alleys and parks of New YorkCity. Music was furnished by the Apollos, and several students provided entertainment during breaks.Homecoming, 1966, saw senior Patty Turner accept the crown of queen during the half-time of theIndianapolis Wood game. She and her court, senior,Sharon Carmichael, juniors, Corry Reiger, andLynn Rockwood, and sophomores Becky Stapp andKathy Heath, were glad to get out of the cold andpreside over the Homecoming Dance after the game.Crowned as this years basketball queen was juniorCorry Reiger. The ceremonies were held at the half-time of the Franklin game. Corrys court includedConnie Galloway and Lark Johnson, seniors, Rebecca Stillions, junior, and sophomore attendantsSusie Hetherington and Becky Stapp. The girls andtheir escorts led the dancing at the Winter Wonderland after the game.CHAPERONES AT THE ALL-SCHOOL DANCE Mr. andMrs. Lexie Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cull and Mr. CarlFrye relax in a Central Park setting.CINDY KANE AND MIKEJONES enjoy themselves during one of the fast numbersat the All-School Dance. |
