Description: …The Specula...GEORGE HENLEY, Jr., Editor-in-Chief.HAYS BUSKIRK, Associate Editor and Business Manager.LLOYD BACK, Assistant Editor.PRESLEY WYLIE, Assistant Editor.DURING the first week of the present semestera high school paper was considered. Atthat time it was thought to be more of apossibility than a probability. However, having-weighed the matter thoroughly, the plan was placedbefore the principal and teachers, where it met withalmost enthusiastic approval. To this liberal recept-ion, the aid of the faculty together with the laborof the publishers, is due the success of the project. On Thursday, February 13th, it was announced,by Principal Ramsey, in chapel exercises, that ahigh school paper was to be published and on thefollowing Monday the proposition was placed beforethe school by the publishers-Hays Buskirk, 10,and George Henley, Jr., 09. The result was mostgratifying and on Monday, February 24th, the firstissue appeared. It proved to be a neat, wholesome, spicy paper of twelve pages and all seemed to besatisfied with it.32Image alt-text: Black-and-white formal group portrait photograph of four individuals, arranged into three rows.
