Even though manygames ended in defeat, the Panthers were able toscore a total of 1208 points to the opponents 1294points. The Panthers were hampered by an overwhelming height disadvantage with 6 0 being thetallest of the starting five. The Panthers spent about400 hours practicing to improve team skills. The Purple Netters defeated Jasper this season. It was thefirst time BHS defeated Jasper on Jaspers court.Although Bloomington was defeated by Martinsvillein the 64 sectional, the Panthers still have the traditional Shaving Mug that was won during the regular season when BHS defeated MHS, 82-77. Thisyears B-Man winner was Bill Kelly. Bob Fergusonwon the Captain Award. Coach Rhoades expressed hisappreciation to the Boosters for the finest supporthe has seen in years. He considers the 64 rebuildingseason a profitable one. With the loss of onlv fiveteam members, the outlook for the 64-65 season isvictorious. |
